Welcome to the
2010 Gettysburg
May Bluegrass Festival

We are fast making preparations for our 60th Festival, May 13-16th, 2010. That's correct, we are celebrating our 60th show. And what history Gettysburg has been made in those 59 prior festivals. The Main Stage at Gettysburg has hosted stellar performances by a veritable Who's Who of Bluegrass at some point over the past 30 years. Bill Monroe performed on this stage on his 75th birthday, September 13, 1986 - plus several other times. The late, great John Duffey played every Gettysburg festival from 1979 until his untimely death in 1996. Charlie Waller was also a regular figure at Gettysburg. Our Workshop Stage was the scene of the "Dobro Summit", the first ever on stage combined performance by Josh Graves, Mike Auldridge, and Jerry Douglas. Alison Krauss played Gettysburg from her Senior year in high school right up through the year she won the CMA Award for Female Vocalist of The Year. Ralph Stanley, Rhonda Vincent, Ricky Skaggs, Dry Branch Fire Squad, Del McCoury, Doyle Lawson, Seldom Scene, J.D. Crowe, Tony Rice, among others are all veterans of numerous Gettysburg performances. WOW !!! And a couple of the top young artists who perform here now were little kids their first time at the festival. A lot of bluegrass history has been made at Gettysburg, and there is surely more to come. The tradition goes on. Bringing out the best - in the best Bluegrass artists in the world - on the Gettysburg stages. Welcome to our 60th show and 31st Anniversary... Bigger and Better than Ever!
